Merger proposal edit
It would make far more sense to merge this article into Video on demand. The article history shows that this has been done previously only for this stub article to be created afresh. I'd like to propose that Catch up TV be merged again into Video on demand. The subject of Video on demand is almost identical to catch up TV, whereas Internet Television is a wider concept that includes linear streaming and online simulcast. I'm therefore adding a banner for merging Catch up TV into Video on demand. The discussion is on the Video on demand talk page. FunkyCanute (talk) 17:23, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- I support a merge but believe Internet television is the more appropriate destination. VoD is generally watched on a television set and can be delivered via Internet or CATV network. Internet TV and Catch up are watched on a computer via the Internet. --Kvng (talk) 12:37, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Yeah the main problem is; Streaming does not equal downloading nore VOD. So your entire page of Video On Demand (VOD) is utter nonsense. Downloading or streaming is not restricted to platforms, hardware, software, Internet Protocols or wally governments attempting blatant clamp downs by changing definitions.
VOD is a service which you pay for, it is delivered directly to your television. like BSKYB packages of channels. Catch up TV is a free streaming service , so please explain how i can demand something for free? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.201.152.239 (talk) 08:56, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
