Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Need Parent County edit

It is very helpful to genealogy research if the parent county is shown, along with the (hopefully some day) page that shows all the counties in the state with their incorporation date and parent counties. 76.102.31.185 (talk) 06:22, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The parent county is shown on every city, village, and town article in the state. You just need to click "show" on the county infobox at the bottom. It is hidden because it's fairly long. There is another hidden State of Wisconsin infobox on the very bottom that lists all the counties in the state. The county incorporation date is placed in the county article, and most counties don't have it at this time. You should be helpful and place it in each article! There are only 72 counties to do in Wisconsin. Royalbroil 13:22, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Largest city? edit

On September 11, 2017, the user 50.58.179.242 listed Appleton as the largest city in Calumet County; despite being the community with the largest population, it is mostly located in Outagamie County. However, I was unsure whether to list that or Chilton (the largest community entirely within Calumet County) as the largest city, so I included both. What would be the largest city in this regards? I am also looking to know which criteria makes a city the largest in any given region.  TNats  3  07:44, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

It may be the city having the largest population in the county, but I doubt that it has the most Calumet county residents. It's confusing and I think that the largest city shouldn't be listed. Royalbroil 03:07, 28 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
I relisted Chilton as the largest city now.  TNats  3  21:25, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
