Due to the recent trends in product stewardship legislation, it would seem that rechargeable battery recycling,its history, and the precedents that RBRC has set for e-waste disposal are notable and should therefore be addressed on Wikipedia.
Like bottle, paper and aluminum recycling, rechargeable battery recycling is an important part of reducing the environmental impact of waste. E-waste is a timely topic, especially as many recyclers are coming under fire for the integrity of their recycling processes. Call2Recycle can claim a reasonably effective and transparent recycling solution, and it has set a precedent for collection and recycling of other materials that are more difficult and/or expensive to dispose of. As an industry-funded solution for one slice of the hazardous waste stream, the Call2Recycle program can be a resource for municipalities for management of household hazardous waste disposal and a potential model for other industries.
Pages exist for recycling programs and initiatives like RecycleBank, Cash for Laptops and RE3.org, so it seems logical and correct that a Call2Recycle article should also have a place on Wikipedia. If edits are needed so that the entry is more acceptable to the Wikipedia criteria and meets the Wiki community's standards for notability, then they are welcome. Manual Reversion edit
Due to being unable to undo this problematic edit (COI/Advertisement), I'm going to manually revert this article to the last revision without buzzwords and manually re-add the link cleanups and other constructive contributions. Since both of the refs added by the same user in the consecutive edit are currently 404s, I probably won't be re-adding them or any of the rest of the material they added since I can't easily evaluate it.
