Expansion

I am currently expanding the Fairwood article and since this is heavily related to that, I'll expand this one too. In time, I hope that the two can ascend to B-class. Given that there is only one HK food article that's B-class, I have my work cut out for me, but I think I've made a good start with Fairwood.

I plan first to convert this from an article just about the CFC chain (which is only one part of their business) into an all around coverage of the whole company since they operate many restaurant chains, and if need be, I will establish individual articles for the more prominent chains. So far, I've just added an info box.

Expansion - Further Details

This is what I plan to do. I will make this article just about the company. It will cover company history, a little bit about how they are doing, and then the last section will be a run through of their main businesses. Then I will make a new article for CDC in which I will describe its individual history, its menu (got that!), common dishes, procedure, the goofy yellow uniforms, major locations (too many to list, so I will highlight the main ones), and something about their recent renovations (the so-called 4th generation format).

No promise on when this will be done, but when that's all through and has some photos to match, this will look great. I will also add an article on The Spaghetti House using a similar template. Jon914 02:48, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Need Photos

To make this article (and its related articles) a success and to bring it up to B-class, it will need adequate quality photos that cover all of the main points. I do NOT live in Hong Kong and do not have everything on hand, so I need somebody who lives in Hong Kong to help me out here. Please provide any of the following:

- Picture of The Spaghetti House restaurant. Any location will do. Take one of the outside, and take one of the inside if you happen to dine there.

- Picture of the menu at Cafe de Coral. I know this changes daily, but I want people to know how it works.

- Pictures of Breakfast Menu items at Cafe De Coral. Congee, Western-style, anything.

- Pictures of Lunch Menu items such as Baked Pork Chop over Rice, Hainan Chicken, Char Siu Fan, etc.

- Pictures of Dinner Menu items like Beef Rice Noodle, Sizzling Plates and more.

- Pictures of specialty items like their hot pot.

- Picture of an employee donning the yellow uniform with cap. Yes, I am serious. If you don't want to be embarrassed, take it from far away.

• More photos of Café de Coral properties seems like a reasonable thing for this article to have. However, I don't see that it is necessary to add lots of pictures of the menu items available at the Café de Coral Restaurant, since that property has its own article. If the company and the restaurant must each have their own article, then detailed photos of the restaurant belong there and not here. Tim Pierce (talk) 17:00, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Café de Coral (restaurant)

Café de Coral (restaurant) is quite short and does not have much citations to support it. Would be better if this is merged into the main article of the company. Plus, both infobox shows nearly the same information, including the stock number and name. Wefk423 (talk) 07:05, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
