A "business continuity plan" is simply part of "business continuity planning." It is perhaps the primary product of the planning process, and a continuity plan has no meaning outside the context of continuity planning. Should be as a separate chapter in "business continuity planning", as this implies to a formal document of some kind. (Software Engineer, Manufacturing systems)

I also support a merge, per the above comments. The merge itself would have to be done carefully, though, since the Business continuity planning article is already lengthy and inevitably overlaps with information in this one. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 11:12, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I agree that there needs to be some consolidation between Business Continuity Planning and Business Continuity Plan.
The plan is a component (usually document output) from the planning process.
