Tuğ NOT Kutas edit

Kutas is Polish for tassel and is also a Polish euphemism for penis. See any Polish dictionary. Also compare the other Wiki articles in Turkic and Polish languages. So, I changed kutas to tuğ. See also: Tugh, Banner (Mongols), Turkish crescent, and Google Images for Buńczuk. Tjlynnjr (talk) 18:17, 1 August 2014 (UTC).Reply

Sancak edit

According to bey,

As the Ottoman realm grew from a Beylik into an imperial sultanate, the title "Bey" came to be applied to subordinate military and administrative officers, such as a district administrator and lower-level minor military governors. The latter were usually titled sanjakbey (after the term "Sanjak", denoting a military horsetail banner).

Should sanjak (or more accurately sancak) be added to this article?
