I created this page upon following the story of Lady Yule of Bricket Wood where her life intersects in the movie industry with J. Arthur Rank, Pinewood Studios and Charles Boot. Because there was no entry for Charles Root who built Pinewood Film Studios I created that first. This led to questions about dates and relationships concerning J. Arthur Rank and especially this entry. It is obvious to me that this entry which I created now requires rewriting and I will do so within the next 48 hours of this note. I will also modify the entries for J. Arthur Rank and Pinewood Film Studios to bring them into line with all of this information. MPLX/MH 18:10, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

First Revision edit

I have now made a first revision to my original text based upon my own research. I have also noted that much, if not all, of the material that has been posted to date about J. Arthur Rank and the Rank Organisation, appears elsewhere on the Internet almost word for word. Whoever was responsible for the creation of those page entries seems to have just lifted other work and redeposited it on Wikipedia. This problem will be remedied shortly because I will also link this new page with the pages about J. Arthur Rank as a person and the Rank Organisation as a company. When this additional work is undertaken it will create a new and original body of work. I also intend to add more text to this page. MPLX/MH 21:05, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)

No. The J. Arthur Rank page has evolved naturally. The opposite is almost certainly true. I.e. those pages lifted the words from Wikipedia and/or its mirrors. Mintguy (T) 08:54, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
