Disagree with the move edit

This move

I would simply shorten Space Exploration etc to SpaceX. That's the only modification needed according toWikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Legal#Cases. If the trial was particularly notable, then the notable name of the trial could be used (but it wouldn't be displayed in italics anyway).

I changed the title but I made a mistake, I intended to move it to Blue Origin v. United States & SpaceX but I, instead, inadvertently moved it to Blue Origin v. SpaceX.
I will correct my mistake in a few days (when wikipedia will let me, Wikipedia doesn't allow more than one move per day? I assume). CodemWiki (talk) 08:56, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved to Blue Origin Federation, LLC v. United States. WP:BARTENDER. (closed by non-admin page mover) CLYDE TALK TO ME/STUFF DONE (please mention me on reply) 23:30, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blue Origin v. SpaceXBlue Origin v. United States & SpaceX – ultimately shortened from Blue Origin v. United States & Space Exploration Technologies Corp. which was deemed too long of a title. I accidentally reset because I thought it should be written "v." but apparently according to Wikipedi standards it's v. in the US and v in other countries, so it was fine then and didn't need to be reset CodemWiki (talk) 17:35, 30 May 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. CLYDE TALK TO ME/STUFF DONE (please mention me on reply) 00:41, 7 June 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. Sennecaster (Chat) 05:43, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blue Origin v. SpaceXBlue Origin v United States & SpaceXBlue Origin v. United States & Space Exploration Technologies Corp. should be shortened but was accidentally shortened too much CodemWiki (talk) 15:48, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I moved it in the first place because it was too long indeed. Don't you think the title should say that it's about the HLS conflict, though? Cocobb8 (talk) 14:46, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I guess that makes sense, then. One thing, though, is that articles about legal cases seem to use "v" instead of "v." Cocobb8 (talk) 15:38, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
According to Case citation it's v. in the Us and v in other circumstances? I honestly had no idea. CodemWiki (talk) 17:36, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Seems like the official case name is BLUE ORIGIN FEDERATION, LLC v. United States. See here. Yahoo also uses a version of that name. Capitalization would have to be adjusted, but Blue Origin Federation, LLC v. United States might work? The proposed title might also work; United States should be in there somewhere, though. I'm ok with this! I'll move it to this. Cocobb8 (💬 talk to me! • ✏️ my contributions) 15:19, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Cocobb8: Please don't move articles before an RM is closed. It's not good etiquette. Sennecaster (Chat) 16:13, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
That was my mistake. I forgot about closing the RM. Should I revert? Cocobb8 (💬 talk to me! • ✏️ my contributions) 17:49, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blue Origin Federation, LLC v. United StatesBlue Origin v. United States & SpaceX – Considering that the full case name is Blue Origin LLC v. United States of America & Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, Blue Origin v. United States & SpaceX simplifies it faithfully in a way that unambiguously identifies the different actors. The current title goes into too much detail by using the full name of Blue Origin while getting rid of SpaceX in the title, it's unbalanced. CodemWiki (talk) 20:51, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose adding SpaceX. In the United States it is customary to list only the first plaintiff and first defendant when referring to a case, so this would not be the WP:COMMONNAME. I would be fine with Blue Origin v. United States or the current title. SilverLocust 💬 21:21, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I didn't know that. I would be fine with the current title then. CodemWiki (talk) 07:15, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
