Fair use rationale for Image:Beatclublogo.jpg edit

Image:Beatclublogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:36, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Survival edit

The show pops up a lot on file sharing networks, because several of the performances have surived to the present day, and the producers seemed to have had excellent taste in music. The article mentions that it is sometimes rerun on VH1; how many episodes survived? Most Top of the Pops episodes from the 1960s were wiped, but was German television more careful with its archives? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 20:04, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

AFAIK the 3 DVD-box-sets "the story of Beat-Club" contain all original material produced by Radio Bremen. Lars T. (talk) 23:23, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
All material is completely in the archives. I don't know whether all material is on the dvd, but it is still existing. Greetings from Bremen! 24.05.2010

Featured Artists edit

This article used to have a list of about 190 artists who had appeared on Beat Club, but even this list was not exhaustive, and only included artists with their own articles. This list was unilaterally removed by an editor (who was shortly after banned for sockpuppetry) without seeking any consensus. As there is currently no such list, one by one, editors are adding their favorite acts to the list in the lede, which, at 22 artists, is already becoming unwieldy, whilst clearly we don't want to put 190 acts in the lede.
I think the lede should only include the most prominent artists, but everyone will have their own view on who they are, I am about to be WP:BOLD and remove the one hit wonders and semi-duplicates (the Bee Gees, fine, but not Robin Gibb as well). If others do not like this, then we can follow WP:BRD.
I propose the long list be reinstated, but would like others opinions before I do that.

Is this why some anonymous user reverted the bulleted list I made back to a single, ugly paragraph? WillieBlues (talk) 19:08, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
