Talk:Battle of Komaki and Nagakute

Latest comment: 7 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I started this page with the intent of merging Battle of Komaki and Battle of Nagakute, so the article conforms with the native language Japanese article. Douggers 01:36, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've completed the merging, but the article still needs some work. Douggers 03:52, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistencies edit

This article needs serious work. For example the section on the Battle of Haguro never explains who Mori was fighting for and why he "Made an attempt" on a castle his side was in control of. Also it says "Ieyasu learned of Hidetsugu's encampment at Shinogi (modern-day Kasugai) through the information provided by farmers in Iga Province." But Iga is nowhere near Komaki. What they are implying is the Iga Ninja alerted him but without saying it. Why? Also the sentence "Ikeda's head was taken soon afterwards and, despite Hideyoshi's arrival with reinforcements, Ieyasu decided to withdraw, unwilling to risk further casualties, and returned to Komaki.[" impies the Hideyoshi was on the same side as Tokugawa!

There are lots of names introduced without clear explanations as to who they are or who's side they are on as well.

Anyway I am going to Inuyama castle tomorrow and if I have any energy left after I get back I will try to clarify a few bits. But I'm a sloth so I can't promise anything. Colincbn (talk) 14:08, 10 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Casualties edit

I don't think you are suggesting only 3 people died here, so a better idea of the dead & wounded on both sides would be helpful.
