Nationality of Players

Given the fact that baseball is becoming an increasingly more international sport (i.e., more non-U.S. leagues in existence, more non-U.S. players in the MLB), the roster formatting on Wikipedia should probably be updated to reflect that. If you look at the formatting for other international sports (such as soccer), the player nationalities are indicated using flag icons. I think this would be a beneficial update to each of the major league rosters in the MLB, it would not be too difficult to implement and it would not clutter the information on the page. However, before such change a change is implemented, I thought it would be healthy to achieve at least some form of consensus on the talk page for each team. yuristache (talk) 01:10, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

New Retired Numbers Display

The Orioles have a new retired number display inside Camden Yards as of this season with orange discs trimmed in white and a white number trimmed in black centered on the inside in the standard block number font. Samuel fired?

In the 2010 section it says that Buck came in when Samuel was fired. But Samuel was the "interim" manager, so was he actually "fired"? I see that he's with another club now, so maybe he was but it doesn't sound right. Rugbyhelp (talk) 06:00, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Futility

It is funny to title the section on the last 15 years as "Futility" but it doesn't sound very encyclopedic. Perhaps a less loaded title should be used for that section. 119.149.17.18 (talk) 17:42, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

How is this possible, the O's have never played in a one-game tiebreaker before? The one-gamer last year counts as a playoff game btw.--Levineps (talk) 19:35, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Team Colors

Parts We Can Delete

I've started this section for us to discuss things that we may be able to get rid of in this article. This is for us to determine which phrases are purely speculation, or are unable to referenced, in which case we will delete the phrase or sentence. I'll start with one I think we can remove which is:

Their large postseason crowds at their temporary home, Municipal Stadium, caught the attention of the major leagues, leading to a new MLB franchise in Baltimore.[citation needed] -- This to me can't really be cited, and I don't think it gives any real important information that helps the article. I also believe that we can get rid of this phrase as well:

an unprecedented run of success that saw the Orioles become the envy of the league
