What's wrong about linking to D'Artagnan? --Ann O'nyme 10:01, 18 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Nothing, really. I just couldn't think of a good way of slipping in a mention, and most of the other attempts I've seen have just shoved him in with out really paying attention to what's being said: "Athos is one of the Three Musketeers. The other two are Porthos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan." I'll give it another shot. —Paul A 12:33, 18 Aug 2003 (UTC)

It's nice having the list opf actors -- could we say in which tv or film they played? -- Tarquin 13:42, 18 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Yeah. I was being lazy. Mintguy
Always up for an excuse to spend more time wiki-ing, I've done the title and dates for Mintguy's list, and added corresponding lists to Porthos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan. — Paul A 03:23, 19 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Underwater fight in the Thames edit

Does anyone mind if I fix this? My recollection is that in the novel, the battle takes place in the English Channel, as the Musketeers are returning to France after their unsuccessful attempt to save Charles I from the scaffold. Mordaunt has secretly mined the ship with gunpowder, intending to blow it up and escape on a small boat, but the plot is discovered, the Musketeers escape in the boat, and as Mordaunt appeals to the Musketeers to save him from drowning, Athos, remorseful due to the events regarding Mordaunt’s mother in the the preceding novel, acquiesces and tried to pull Mordaunt out of the water, only to discover that this was a trick by Mordaunt, who attempts to pull Athos under so that they drown together, and Athos is forced to kill him.

If no one objets, I will make the change. Partnerfrance (talk) 10:36, 17 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
