Technical Data edit

What's the track gauge? (Probably 900 mm.) How does propulsion work? Is there station at the top which moves the cable, or are the wagons climbing along a stationary cable? There's obviously an electric system on board, fed by an overhead line... What kind of electricity is used nowadays? (Probably 600 V DC if it provides the energy for propulsion.) Why does the official Website talk about a "Compressor" of the type "Maley 234"? --BjKa (talk) 11:20, 17 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

@BjKa: All material that could sensibly be in the article. Track gauge is 900 mm. The cars are electrically propelled by two 600 volt DC traction motors mounted on each car though the two cars are connected together with a wire rope run round a sheave at the top station. Both positive and negative are collected from overhead wires (this is because the original track at the time of electrification (~1915?) was not constructed to carry the return current). The compressors (one on each car) are used in conjunction with the compressed air brakes fitted to each car. 86.149.141.166 (talk) 16:20, 20 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
