Did you know... that samples of moon rock and lunar dust soil from the Apollo 11 and Apollo 17 missions, mounted on wooden plaque displays especially for Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Honduras, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Romania, Spain, and Sweden, plus the states of Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii (pictured), Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, and West Virginia, were later reported missing by many of the recipients?

The Template:Apollo 11 lunar sample display has part of the content that is transcluded to this template and many of the sub-articles listed here. When doing the copyright cleanup, I found that content was not always verified by the cited source, and that citations were not always attached to the content they supported. But as I continued to work through the sub-articles, I came across bits and pieces. The end result is that some content that I presumptively deleted can probably be found in sources and rewritten to avoid copyvio. Care has to be taken to keep the transcluded content short and relevant to the daughter articles, while expanding other content here at the main article, and to make sure that ref names stay in sync.
