Hrm. Ran into his name in the Bibliographie de la France: his "Vénus", "Poème symphonique en trois parties, paroles de P. Demeny" was published in Paris (self-published? "sans nom d'édit.") in 1882 (p.204, reg.1363, 1 April 1882 Bibliographie - see the PDF downloadable from Google (Bibliographie de la France (2e série, 71e année), p. 204, at Google Books.)
