There's basically almost no discussion as to the reasons for strong opposition by civil libertarians to this "civil rights" approach to pornography regulation and the nullification of this law by the courts on First Amendment grounds. Many people consider this approach to be as much (if not greater) a form of censorship as traditional obscenity law. Nadine Strossen, Wendy Kaminer, and Nat Hentoff are all notable authors who have have critiqued this proposed law and their views should be included if this article is to be considered at all balanced. Definition of pornography

edit

The section on definition of pornography is hinged on a reference to it being about women. The section should be redone to represent both genders as both men and women are represented in pornography. Any objections? —Zujine|talk 21:16, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I must strongly object to the proposed edit. The definition presented here is explicitly cited as being a legal definition created by Dworkin, et al specifically. While you might disagree with that definition (as I do), removing it from here would result in the article being factually incorrect and hinder the study of the philosophical basis for the Antipornography Civil Rights Ordinance.
