I am not quite familiar with the subject, give summary style - give some background why the attacks were made - was second polish republic on side of Russia or Germany during the time of attacks - it will build the KB for user who reads it. It all is in the text, you can find answers why the attacks were made. The units targeted by the communist services were loyal to the government in exile in London, it all is wiki-linked. I know, a reader from Africa or Asia will not know much about it, this is obvious. But adding more and more information would completely deviate the article from the subject. Search in Google and the proposal

• "Raids on communist prisons in Poland" -wiki (minus Wikipedia), with or without (1944–1946) dates, is a phrase used only by Wikipedia mirrors. Not a single book reference can be found in Google Books except for one "on-demand" publishing company with Wikipedia's content.[1]

meanwhile

• "Anti-communist resistance in Poland", is a well established phrase found in a number of books including Spy wars by Tennent H. Bagley which I cited, as well as the Political and social issues in Poland by Anna R. Dadlez, Polish Orphans of Tengeru by Lynne Taylor, Bill of rights in action by Constitutional Rights Foundation, Religion and politics by Ted G. Jelen and Clyde Wilcox, and several others.[2]

I would like to rename this article accordingly per WP:TITLE, because the article is much broader in scope. The new and more appropriate title should read Anti-communist resistance in Poland (1944–1946). The new title would also match the already existing article called Polish resistance movement in World War II and the relevant category. — Stawiski (talk) 21:13, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Incorrect sentence

"In January 1945, the pro-Soviet government installed in Poland by the advancing Red Army formally disbanded the AK and invited its surviving members to come out into the open, guaranteeing them freedom and safety."

This is wrong on several levels. The Soviets never "formally disbanded" the AK as they had no authority to do so. The AK disbanded itself once the Germans were defeated. The second part of the sentence makes it sound like these guarantees were in any way credible.

Soviet colonization of Poland ?
