He waited there 3 Days so everyone went ahead could come back and those left behind could reach up. Then made a pulpit of saddles of camel and horses, then stood upon it and said 'man kunto maula fa haza aliyun maula' which means whomsoevers' master/leader I am, Ali(a.s.) is their master/leader too.
