Literary Movements

It seems ridiculous to state that Alfonsina Storni was a postmodernist. Both the historical period she inhabited and the style of her poetry would clearly make her a modernist. Thus, I have amended the article, which -by the way- still seems to require a lot of changes. Stylistically and otherwise.

I think one of the critical distinctions that needs to be made for understanding how she fit or didn't into literary movements is the difference between "modernism" and "modernismo" which was a distinct and different literary movement in Latin America. A lot of the characterizations of her as being "Post modernist" may be referring to the fact that she wrote after the decline of the modernismo movement, though I have seen arguments that put her work as postmodern due to its rendering of the female body as "fractured". -Sarahwarmker (talk) 22:02, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

Feminism and Writings on Men

This sentence seems ambiguous: "Storni once referred to men as el enemigo, "the enemy." Much of Storni's work focuses on what she sees as the repression of women by men. This often takes the form of personal insults directed at men in general." How can insults directed at men in general be personal? Breast Cancer and Palm reading, need for Spanish Wiki version to be translated

So I read some of the Wikipedia in Spanish version on Alfonsina Storni and it covers much more detail. This English version does not mention her Breast cancer and the complications from the surgery and its emotional toll on the author. My Spanish ability is not good enough to attempt such a detailed translation. There is some mention of a Palm reading the author had but it is unclear to me what effect that had on the author. I have made some basic adjustments to the organization of this page and corrected some glaring errors and omissions, but the page still needs quite a bit more work. I would be able to translate some of the information from the Spanish Wikipedia page, but wonder about the conventions here on Wikipedia of using sources in other languages - most of the sources cited there are in Spanish, and it relies heavily on one work from one person who is one of her main biographers. However, there have been numerous studies and biographies written on her in English. Is there a best practices on translating or using sources in other languages here on Wikipedia? Relevancy of Nosotros paragraph?

Hi, I understand that the paragraph beginning with "The magazine Nosotros was influential in spearheading the rise of new Argentine literature" is interesting, but it fails to demonstrate why it's a relevant and important part of her life story.
