Unbalanced

With a series of recent edits about Prøysen's bisexuality, this issue has got undue overweight in the biography. This section should be downedited, perhaps by omitting the subsection speculating in motives for the withholding, and the article should be expanded with sections about Prøysen's life and work of art. Ove Røsbak's claim that Prøysen had become a Christlike figure, indicates the that he was worshipped, and the degree of that worship. --Abalonney (talk) 14:43, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

Any conclusion stemming from vast research, in any field, can be labelled as "speculation". We agree on one point, however: many of the sections not dealing with his sexuality, are quite light. --Abalonney (talk) 14:57, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

I've removed the subsection speculating in motives for the withholding, again.

The whole section about bisexuality seem to describe Røsbak's thoughts about Prøysen's bisexuality. It should rather refer Røsbak's research and conclusion in a brief way.

What is more, the section is inaccurate, as it does not refer to Røsbak's initial article in Dagbladet July 10th, 1994: "En annerledes Prøysen". This article opened the topic, and started the debate. Together with Røsbak's own summarization of the debate from 2007 ("Han som var slem mot Prøysen"), we should also refer to Knut Imerslund's summarization from 2005 "Sannheten – tåler vi den? Alf Prøysen og annerledesheten" from his collection of Prøysen studies Raud skulle kjolen vera. We should not let Røsbak be the only source to a debate initiated by himself. And then, I disagree, again. The text is not "good enough for now". For one; the section about bisexuality is overshadowing all of Prøysen's work and reasons for fame. And second, the section is poorly sourced (I've mentioned the most relevant sources above), and is out of focus, as it deals more with Røsbak's reflections on other peoples motives than it does on Prøysen and his life. I've rewritten the bisexuality section, using the full variety of sources that I used in the nowegian edition of the article. There is still an overweight upon the part of the biography, but this is at least better focused and sourced than Abalonney's version.
