Talk:Alexei Sayle's Stuff

As one might expect from the "Marxist" comedian and "Godfather of Alternative Comedy," sketches involved many historical characters (particularly socialist ones) interspersed with biting comments on contemporary British politics. Large volumes of venom were projected in the direction of the "arch-nemesis of 1980s Alternative Comedy," Margaret Thatcher.

Why have you written "Marxist" with quotation marks around the word? Are you suggesting that he isn't really a Marxist? StanPomeray (talk) 13:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

M. Aubergine edit

I think it is wrong to compare Aubergine to Mr Bean as Sayles character predates Bean. Theladfromtheeast (talk) 09:10, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

^ Sadly untrue - Series 3, the only one containing M. Aubergine, was first broadcast October 1991 [source: imdb] whereas the first Mr Bean episode was 1 Jan 1990 [source: Mr Bean wikipedia] 82.69.75.95 (talk) 23:12, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
