Talk:Actuate Corporation

Actuate is not a technical term or industry word. It is a company name. Why is the content still in wikipedia. It is not for advertising and marketing.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.173.151.131 (talkcontribs) .

It's also the name of the software this company produces. What's more, Wikipedia allows articles about companies that meet the guidelines. While the article in its present form is only marginally acceptable and could use a lot of improvement, its subject is otherwise qualified for inclusion in Wikipedia.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 18:44, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Acquired edit

In January 2015, Actuate was acquired by OpenText. The page mentions OpenText as owner but still says Actuate is a publicly trade company. See [1] Bert Roos (talk) 13:44, 29 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
