This article on Acoustic cleaners is based on the technology developed and used by Primasonics.

A short note to explain that this article is strongly flavoured towards

a. Acoustic cleaners as opposed to alternative methods. I am thinking of writing small articles on alternative means of cleaning but would welcome input from any one familiar with them.As an example please see Silo cleaning and the discussion page associated with it.

b. I have written the article from the viewpoint of the technology supplied by Primasonics. Primasonics is not the only supplier of acoustic cleaners, there are others, but from what i can see Primasonics is probably the more technologically advanced.

I have also looked at the possibility of splitting off the primasonics element so that there is an article on acoustic cleaners in general and another one on the technology applied by Primasonics. An example of this within Wiki can be seen by looking at Artificial turf and FieldTurf.

Currently i dont think is necessary but would welcome input.

I have just removed the statement The air consumption is between 480 and 620 kPa when the horn is sounding because, according to google: http://www.google.com/search?q=convert+620+kPa+to+psi kPa is a measure of pressure, not air volume. What should be here is the air consuption measured in the SI equivalent of cfm (cubic feet per minute), probably along with a cfm translation for those of us who are SI-challeneged. 198.81.129.194 12:54, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
