Bogus conversion to Christianity edit

This is a yarn that has no reference, yet it is all over Wikipedia. Every time I remove it someone puts it back. Don't be so desperate for converts. I am removing it and request that it not be put back until you come up with a RELIABLE source. "Christian sources"? Then you may as well change the Wiki entry for Jesus Christ to say he foretold the coming of Muhammad according to "Muslim sources". Will you? No? Okay, then be consistent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.136.104.21 (talk) 20:31, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

You see, my friend, in 16th century Spain, there were no such things as "Secular sources". It was the era of inter-religious rivalries and fundamentalism. History was written by religious people, be they Muslim or Christian, and being human and religious zealots of course projected their own biases into their work. Nothing had to go through peer review. Plus, Aben Humeya did not write his own autobiography. Anyway, most of the account of Aben Humeya's comes from the account of the Christian historian Marmol. So, if we have to dismiss this statement, because it was claimed by Christian sources, then we have to simply delete most of the info about Humeya's life. Moreover, Christian sources are used in other Moorish articles as well such as Al-Andalus, Moriscos, Mozarabs, Muladi, etc. Joyson Noel Holla at me 07:30, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

---Albacete--

Diego Alguacil (not Alguazir) was from Ugíjar (Albacete de Ugíjar in old times) in Granada. Albacete , capital in the same province is far away from Granada. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.14.207.32 (talk) 03:28, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
