Notes edit

I have copy pasted in the more detailed 1911EB account at Abd-el-Aziz IV here, except the opening paragraph:

Abd-el-Aziz IV (1880-10 June, 1943), was sultan of Morocco, and son of Sultan Mulai el Hasan III by a Circassian wife. He was fourteen years of age on his father's death in 1894.

I know nothing about this subject and it's not possible for me to verify wether he was born in 1878 or 1880. Fornadan (t) 21:01, 10 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Not much of an editor, but the repeated references in the first third of the peoples' "fanaticism" in reaction to the Sultan's decisions to open interaction with the European Powers seems to violate the NPOV directive. "Fanaticism" has a strong negative connotation, and is often used by secular peoples to discount the reactions of religious peoples. I don't see how it is the aim of a proper historian to determine if it was mindless fanatic zeal, or rather just being very upset. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.166.105.252 (talk) 10:05, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Q's edit

1. What honor was bestowed upon the Sultan as shown in the top picture, as that medal does not correlate with the honors stated in the article? 2. Did not the Sultan choose a life of celibacy? 3. Was not the Sultan's early education in France? 4. Did not the Sultan have a room with so many sitting/lounging pillows, that his Brother felt that he was a bit off his rocker? 5. Did not the Sultan prefer to fight by the sword? 6. Did not the Sultan see the purchase of rifles as a necessity of State? 7. Did not France assure him that they had no interests in Morocco (may not have been diplomatically official)? Gnostics (talk) 01:18, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
