User:Bkissin, User:Imzadi1979 - Is there any reason why this article cannot go into article space and be expanded in article space? Does it have errors? Is it at risk of being deleted in an AFD? If not, we should accept it. Robert McClenon (talk) 23:37, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Considering that I just deleted the entire history section as a copyright violation, I'll need to go through this draft a little further when I'm not on a break at work. Imzadi 1979 → 00:47, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon: so I just rebuilt the junction list table from scratch. I have no idea where Zjholder got his mileposts and locations from, but it wasn't apparently the go-to source for them. The table was missing both of the BL I-196 junctions near South Haven, it was missing the two I-196 junctions in the Saugatuck area or mislocated them, it had a non-junction with I-196 on the south side of Holland (no interchange = no entry in the table) and generally just had a bunch of errors.
- The route description needs a rewrite from scratch because it's just too short to be useful. It's not really accurate because it omits much of the route, and what it does include places undue weight on things. At the rate we're going, I'll have rewritten the entire article except the external links section since this was draftified just to remove issues. Imzadi 1979 → 11:08, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- User:Imzadi1979 errors notwothstanding, might these be better corrected in main space where multiple editors have easy access? Our brief, as you know, is to accept a draft when it has a better than 50% chance of surviving an immediate deletion discussion. What is your current view on that probability, please? - Consider that the draft, as written, doesn't pass WP:GNG, and there's no presumption of notability for county roads unlike state highways. The draft, as written, therefore wouldn't pass a deletion discussion. With a properly written history section and and overhauled route description that actually describes the road, it should pass GNG in the end, but we're not there yet.
