change name of article edit

I think we should change this article from being called 4-HO-DET to it's easier to remember name: Ethocin

The name was taken from here: http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/4_acetoxy_det/4_acetoxy_det_article1.shtml

as well as change the following:

4-HO-DMT to Psilocin.

4-phosphoryloxy-DMT to Psilacetin.

4-AcO-DMT to Psilocybin.

4-HO-DET to Ethocin.

4-phosphoryloxy-DET to Ethacetin.

4-AcO-DET to Ethocybin.

4-HO-DIPT to Iprocin.

4-phosphoryloxy-DIPT to Ipracetin.

4-AcO-DIPT to Iprocybin.

4-HO-MITP to Miprocin.

4-phosphoryloxy-MITP to Mipracetin.

4-AcO-MITP to Miprocybin.

It seems very premature to adopt the ethocin/ethacetin/ethocybin naming scheme since these names are not widely accepted and have never appeared in the scientific literature. Furthermore, for most people this makes it less clear what chemical you are talking about since it is really obvious from the name what the chemical structure of "4-OH-DET" is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Psychopharmacology (talkcontribs) 09:57, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
