Belligerents edit

KajMetz, this is not the first time, you insert Israeli Army here, but essentially not much was related with this, except one Israeli solider slightly wounded from spillover fire (maybe even non-deliberate), and the SU-24 was shot down by Israelis near Quneitra with no casualties (which Israelis did that completely regardless of the fighting of Syrian Army with the rebels, but because they claim it penetrated what they consider as Israeli side of the border). It is undue to put Israel (no casualties taken or resulted from the battle with overall 200+ killed) and maybe even UN is redundant as third column, though the role of the UN was much bigger - they participated in a fight, some were taken hostage and eventually all evacuated.GreyShark (dibra) 17:20, 5 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Alleged Israeli support of Syrian rebels edit

In the Wikipedia community, there are some editors who insist that Israel supports the anti-Assad forces in Syria, and thus continue to place Israel as a supporter of the rebels in the infobox. I have tried multiple times to correct this by either moving Israel to a third column in the infobox, or by deleting it from the infobox altogether, but I am constantly reverted with little explanation given for the reversion. When I am given an explanation, it is usually a link to a pro-Assad/anti-Israel news source, which is more propaganda than factual information. It is like being in an edit war with the PFLP-GC. Functioning as the voice of reason, I have stated multiple times that Israel supports neither Assad nor the rebels, and is concerned only with securing it's own borders. In an effort to avoid an edit war, I would like to hear information from a reliable source (not a propaganda site or a tabloid news source) that shows proof of direct Israeli military support for the rebels. Otherwise, I will once again remove Israel from the infobox.208.123.183.71 (talk) 18:38, 19 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
