Wiki error edit

Hello, please remove the wiki error from section "Group 1". Thanks. - Cod Swick! (Reply here) 19:30, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Warm up matches edit

Do we really need to keep track of the warm up matches as part of the world cup page? Sounds absurd to me. I suggest removing it entirely. ~~Deepak (talk) 18:24, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

The warm up matches are officially a part of the ICC tournaments. Articles for all other recent World Cups, Champions Trophies, World T20s and even some World Cricket League tournaments contain a section about warm-up matches. Rubaisport (talk) 03:15, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Agree that they are part of the tournament and should remain. Also WP:NOTPAPER. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:09, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Umpires.

Certainly not decided for the final yet. So why put them down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.74.222.30 (talk) 09:30, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Umpires. edit

Certainly not decided for the final yet, so why put them down. (why are people so idiotic),

It will be decided based on how the tournament progresses, their performances and which teams reach the final. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.74.222.30 (talk) 09:32, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Flags and WP:INFOBOXFLAG edit

Please can everyone have a read of WP:INFOBOXFLAG, the little flags should not be in the infobox. LGA talkedits 20:31, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I have to disagree - the flags SHOULD be there, as the following extract from WP:INFOBOXFLAG makes clear:
-----------------
....
Flag icons are visually distracting in infoboxes and lead to unnecessary disputes when over-used. Examples of acceptable exceptions include military conflict infobox templates and infoboxes that include international competitions, such as FIFA World Cup or the Olympic Games.
....
-----------------
This is clearly an example of "infoboxes that include international competitions, such as FIFA World Cup or the Olympic Games", and consequently an "example of an acceptable exception" to the general rule about flags icons (which, incidentally, at least in the above passage, doesn't say flag icons shouldn't appear in infoboxes, and merely implies they should not be overused, etc, but in any case that general rule is not applicable here). Match Details edit

Why is it only the match summary? What has happened to the full match details? Really stupified to see the condition of the page.

The article was getting too long, therefore they are spun off into the following articles as per norm in tournament articles in wiki. See 2014 ICC World Twenty20 Group Stage, 2014 ICC World Twenty20 Super 10s and 2014 ICC World Twenty20 Finals for full match details.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. (tJosve05a (c) 11:40, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
