I just looked at the wild card situation in Group 2, and I think Kenya has clinched a final round berth. Wait, never mind, Namibia can still get out of the basement if they beat Zimbabwe by 4 goals. So, if Zimbabwe can keep Namibia from winning by 4 or more, Kenya's wild card score will be 9 points should they lose to Guinea and finish second. Kenya will carry a 3W 1L record into the 12-team supergroup, which I think is enough to clinch them. If Namibia manages to finish third, Kenya would carry over 6 points instead of 9, because they'd lose 4 points from matches vs. Zimbabwe.

Ok, I thought Kenya had it already, but there's still a minute chance that they could miss the cut, so the page is right as of today, 16 Sep 2008. -Homsar773

Botswana and South Africa edit

Botswana may still clinch a spot in the next round if they win Mozambique and Madagascar loses to Ivory Coast.

And for South Africa, they may be able to clinch a spot Sierra Leone loses and they win.--AJ44 (talk) 01:52, 2 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
