Season recap edit

So it got busy for a while in the Pacific, but it just died down the stretch! Pretty quiet year overall...unlike in the Atlantic. CrazyC83 04:01, 1 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Agreed this season was pretty boring. That stretch with four storms in the ocean at once was pretty exciting though. For 2-4 hours, 2005 had the most storms active at once in the East Pacific, I researched it. Jova (actually in the Central Pacific at the time), Kenneth (at peak intensity), Lidia (barely a storm getting absorbed into Max), and Max. -- Hurricane Eric - my dropsonde - archive 00:08, 2 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
No so boring Crazy C83 and E.Brown.

Aridan- hit Central America, 3 killed

Dora-Brought heavy rains to Mexico

Max-Category 1 hurricane

Otis-hit Baja as a TD

NHC EPAC 2005 Summary edit

It is located here. (oops, I just noticed that someone linked it up above...oh well, this will be the official section) -- RattleMan 01:25, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Fairly interesting, for me that is. Pretty boring season overall, but September was pretty exciting. October was duller than than it's been in a long time. Otis peaked as a Cat 2 on Day 1, but other than that, there was just Pilar (my name for 16E, see above), the tenacious little bugger that, in my opinion, never got the recognition it fully deserved. She and Otis, that was it. Zzzzz. -- Hurricane Eric - my dropsonde - archive 04:18, 22 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

CPHC CPAC 2005 Summary edit

It is located here. -- RattleMan 04:57, 7 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Have read it, relatively boring, only mentions the three storms (1C, Jova, Kenneth)...if only this was the Atlantic. NSLE (T+C+CVU) 04:59, 7 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Hawaii probably wants it to stay quiet. They haven't had a storm affect them in a long time, maybe not since Iniki. -- Hurricane Eric - my dropsonde - archive 04:12, 22 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Update template edit

Can the update template be removed? the events are no longer current, so nothing should be out-of-date.Simon12 04:23, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

ACE Calculations page edit

Please note that for this sub-talkpage, I've had to save it early just incase I lose power. It's quite windy here and the lights are starting to flicker. Hopefully they wont go out and I can finish it tonight. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 22:11, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jova Sandbox edit

I have Jova sandbox. Leave Message ,Yellow Evan home ,Sandbox[ 01:46, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Evan, please don't, focus on one article at a time. I've got this season under control and I'd really prefer if you didn't work on the separate articles for this season, only because I'm trying to get this series to Featured Topic and since you're still learning how to write good quality articles, it's better if you don't work on any of these storms. If you have any comments about this, just leave a note on my talk page. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 01:54, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Todo edit

Two highly important sections are blank, for starters. May I fix them? --Dylan620 (Homeyadda yadda yaddaOoooohh!) 23:51, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Accumulated Cyclone Energy (ACE) edit

Although due to the lack of information on the trace history of tropical cyclones that have crossed the Central Pacific, also due to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center moved to the National Hurricane Center in 2019. The 2005 season index it was irrelevant, with 75 units.

Well, I found it at Colorado State University website, in the Northeast Pacific of the basin archives section. The correct Accumulated Cyclone Energy index was 96.6 units. Because two crossed into the Central Pacific, especially Jova and Kenneth, Jova as a major hurricane and Kenneth as a low-end hurricane. I just hope that Supportstorm updates the 2005 tropical cyclone tracks until he finishes updating the 2006 tropical cyclone tracks. Send my help --МОДОКАУ 04:27, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
