Copyrighting results edit

This article is currently wearing a copyright violation tag. The text was certainly taken from grandprix.com, but the material now remaining should be OK.

As far as I know, results of sporting events cannot be copyrighted. The format in which they are presented can be, but there are limited ways of presenting these results. The format used on this page is very close, but not identical to that used in the Grandprix.com report from which the copyright violation is claimed. (There is an extra column and one heading is different). The only other changes which could really be made would be in rearranging the order of the columns, but I think a claim that the order of the columns represented a unique way of interpreting the data would be very weak. I've removed the tag. After my huge mistake earlier this year, which I will never do again, this was the the version before the copy-vio was entered. I'll quickly go round the 1994 + 95 articles and remove any more offending material. Dav nel 03 22:10, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
