Erratta edit

The page currently states

"The Blons avalanches in Austria was one of the worst mass burials by avalanche in recorded history. It occurred on February 10 and February 11."

But then it says

"The small village of Blons near Bludenz, Vorarlberg in the Austrian Alps was hit by an avalanche at 9:36 a.m. on 12 January 1954. A second avalanche hit the village at 7 p.m. "

So the article doesn't agree with itself.

The references on the page are not working I found another link http://worldhistoryproject.org/1954/2/10/blons-avalanches-of-1954 but it says the EXACT same thing, stating both February 10,11 and January 12

In the arts / pop culture edit

The novel and movie Der Atem des Himmels is about this disaster. Should that be mentioned in the article?Kdammers (talk) 11:41, 19 May 2014 (UTC) I was not aware of the novel and movie, if you wish go ahead and add it. Is the novel factual, fiction, or a mixture of both? Edantu (talk) 17:17, 19 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

The novel is fictional. There is a central love story that is not, to the best of my knowledge, based on a real affair, but the avalanche conditions and occurrences are true to history.Kdammers (talk) 11:44, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

New Sections edit

I have added new sections "Geography","The Avalanches", "Rescue Mission","Aftermath", "Cause, "Response" and "In the media". I have included the information that was previously in the article and added citations that were missing for that information.JoeyV1 (talk) 09:46, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
