The result of the move request was: No consensus. After over a month of discussion, there is no consensus as to whether or not the current disambiguation is sufficient - and if not, what a more suitable title is.(non-admin closure) Turnagra (talk) 06:42, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

10th Rifle Division (Soviet Union) → ? – Two other Soviet 10th Rifle Divisions existed, the 10th NKVD Rifle Division and the 10th Guards Motor Rifle Division, and the current title could refer to either of these articles and should be a redirect to 10th Rifle Division. However, it is unclear what the disambiguated title of this article should be. BilledMammal (talk) 00:43, 29 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Same issue also exists with 4th Rifle Division, 8th Rifle Division, and 13th Rifle Division. BilledMammal (talk) 01:32, 29 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose  Why rename? These article titles are already acceptably disambiguated. Just add a hatnote linked to 10th Rifle Division (disambiguation). —Michael Z. 15:38, 29 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Since this is the only one with an article, it would make sense to move it to 10th Rifle Division, and move the disambiguation page from that title to 10th Rifle Division (disambiguation), with the understanding that it would move back if another state’s 10th Rifle Div gets an article. —Michael Z. 15:51, 29 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose This is becoming slightly exasperating. These articles are generally pre-emptively disambiguated by country (or service branch sometimes for clarity as to time period), because there are plenty of 10th Divisions which are/were infantry units. Some are obviously from a particular country "Guards" are almost always Soviet Union, and NKVD is also obviously WWII Soviet era. I have already pointed out the guidance to you twice, but here it is again WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME. Rifle/infantry etc are closely parsed, especially when translating formation names, so it is better to disambiguate by country so it is clearer to the reader. The three Red Army articles should be at 10th Rifle Division (Soviet Union), 10th NKVD Rifle Division and 10th Guards Motor Rifle Division. There is probably an argument that 10th Rifle Division should redirect to the 10th Division/10th Infantry Division dab page where links to all 10th Division articles can be listed. • The issue with disambiguating by country here is that the other 10th Rifle Divisions that this can refer to are also part of the Soviet Union. Either "10th Rifle Division" is sufficiently disambiguated in this case and we should move this article to that title or, per WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME, we need a better way to disambiguate the articles than (Soviet Union) - the latter is what this move proposal is asking for. • Support. I agree it needs renaming given the existence of the other two 10th Rifle Divisions, both of them Soviet, but I'm at a lost to suggest what that name should be. 10th Rifle Division (1939–1946) maybe? Even though that omits its 1920s existence. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:04, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
