Notre DameEdit

Waldron served as a graduate assistant for the University of Notre Dame from 2005 to 2007.

New England PatriotsEdit

Waldron then was hired by the New England Patriots and worked under head coach Bill Belichick, also a Phillips Academy alumnus, as a football operations assistant. In 2005, Waldron followed Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis to the Notre Dame as an offensive graduate assistant and was promoted in 2008 to offensive coaching assistant. He was promoted again to become the tight ends coach in the 2009 season.

United Football LeagueEdit

He left the team after the 2009 and later joined the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League. Waldron was the recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach before being promoted to offensive line coach for the University of Massachusetts Minutemen.

Los Angeles RamsEdit

On February 2, 2017, Waldron was hired to be the tight ends coach for the Los Angeles Rams, under new head coach Sean McVay.

On January 30, 2018, Waldron named to pass game coordinator, after Matt LaFleur became offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Sean McVay promoted offensive line coach Aaron Kromer to run game coordinator and Waldron to pass game coordinator in order to help fill the void.
