SVKM's NMIMS

SVKM's NMIMS is a private (deemed-to-be) University located in Vile Parle, Mumbai. It has campuses at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Shirpur, having 12 constituent schools that offer courses in management, engineering, pharmacy, architecture, commerce, business, economics, science, law, aviation, liberal arts, music and design.

HistoryEdit

NMIMS was established in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust as a Management Institute affiliated to University of Mumbai. NMIMS began its journey by offering a Masters in Management Studies with an intake of only 40 students and 4 full time faculty.
It became a deemed university established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by notification of UGC in 2003.[9]

ShirpurEdit

The Shirpur campus was established in 2007 and is the first off-campus centre of SVKM's NMIMS.[10][11] The schools in Shirpur Campus include:

BangaloreEdit

The Bengaluru campus was established in 2008.[12][13] Bangalore campus of NMIMS is the youngest B-School to be accredited with AMBA.[14][5] The schools in Bengaluru Campus include:

HyderabadEdit

The Hyderabad campus has a 90-acre fully residential campus in Jadcherla.[15] From 2018 the PGDM Program is being conducted at the new campus. The Hostels are temporarily at Jadcherla Township and will change to on campus accommodation from 2020.

Indore and Navi MumbaiEdit

The campuses in Indore and Navi Mumbai were established in 2017.[16] The schools include:

NMIMS was ranked 57 among universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019[18] and 83 overall.[17] It also ranked 13 in the pharmacy ranking[22] and 20 in the management ranking.[19]

The School of Business Management was ranked ninth in India by Business Today's "India's best B-schools 2019"[20] seventh in India by Outlook India's "Top 100 Management Schools" of 2018[21] and first in India by India Today's "Top 120 colleges | BBA" in 2019.[23]
