Rokitno [rɔˈkʲitnɔ] is a village in Biała County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus.[1] It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Rokitno. It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Biała Podlaska and 109 km (68 mi) north-east of the regional capital Lublin.

Early history edit
The land of Rokitno was originally owned by Princess Anila Rzyszczewska.[2] Rokitno was once thought to have been a much larger town, extending eastward to the villages of Sohov and Osnitzek, prior to being reduced by decree.[2]
