Sir Richard Neil Posnett KBE CMG (19 July 1919 – 11 May 2009) was a British colonial administrator who served as Governor of Belize[a] (from 1972 to 1976) and Governor of Bermuda (from 1981 to 1983). He was also briefly Commissioner of Anguilla (in 1969) and High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Uganda (in 1979). Posnett was a founder of the Uganda Olympic Committee and a fluent speaker of Swahili.[1]
