"Prayer for the Dying" is a song by Seal and Augustus Lundell "Gus" Isidore.[1] It was released as the lead single from his second studio album Seal (a.k.a. Seal II) in May 1994, peaking at #14 in the UK Singles Chart and #21 on the Billboard Hot 100. In November 1995, it was released as a double A-side with "Don't Cry"; this release reached #51 in the chart.

  • In the Philippines, Acoustic singer Paolo Santos covered the rendition from 3rd full-length album, Wave Sessions 2. Filipino rock band Bamboo covered their rendition of "Prayer For The Dying" from their 3rd album, "We Stand Alone Together" in 2007.
