Orthornavirae

Orthornavirae is a kingdom of viruses that contains all viruses that have an RNA genome and encode an RNA-dpendent RNA polymerase (RdRp).[1] The kingdom includes all +ssRNA, -ssRNA, and dsRNA viruses. The group name derives from Greek ὀρθός (orthós) which means straight, rna for the type of viruses, and -virae the suffix for a virus kingdom.[2]
