Metro (U.S. newspaper)

Metro is a free daily newspaper in the United States.[1][third-party source needed] It is distributed free in New York (Metro New York), Boston (Metro Boston) and Philadelphia (Metro Philadelphia). The first edition was dated May 5, 2004.[2] Launched by the Swedish company Metro International, the American editions were sold to Seabay Media Holdings, owned by former Metro International CEO Pelle Törnberg, in 2009.[3] and as of 2018 are published by SB New York and Metro Boston.[4]
