Merja Kinnunen

Merja Kinnunen (2 July 1955 – 15 May 2021) was a Finnish academic working at the University of Tampere (1993–2006) and University of Lapland (from 2006).[1] She became a professor of sociology in 2006 and a professor emeritus in 2018.[2][3] She was a textbook writer in her field.[2] She was an editor-in-chief of Sosiologia between 2002 and 2003. For Vastapaino she was a board member (1990-1996) and Chairman of the Board (1996–2002). She was also board member of the Westermarck Society (1996–2001) and the University of Lapland (2007–2009; 2012–2014).[2]
