Edit request 2024-03-18 edit

Please update "First published in the United States before January 1, 1928" to "First published in the United States before January 1, 1929" on the PD-US-expired line. ⟲ Three Sixty! Talk? Work. 03:46, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Crazy idea that might just work edit

In the last four years, the update for PD-US-expired was done "on time" once:

what if the template Show by date was used to produce a "forever" edit request? It could be something like this:

Forever edit request
What do you think? Pinging involved editors: Three Sixty, The Earwig, Grendelkhan, JJMC89, Dylsss. —andrybak (talk) 08:44, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Alternatively, str find could be used to check the text of MediaWiki:Licenses for the presence of expected line:

previous year = , current year =

produces: "previous year = 1554, current year = -1". —andrybak (talk) 09:15, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

MSGJ, please undo your last edit. See Special:Upload where the template is not displaying correctly. ⟲ Three Sixty! Talk? Work. 16:02, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Implemented using the str find in the section #Automatic edit request below. —andrybak (talk) 12:17, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Second edit request 2024-03-18 edit

Would someone please undo MSGJ's last change? This message does not support wikitext/templates, and the license dropdown on Special:Upload is not displaying correctly. Thanks. ⟲ Three Sixty! Talk? Work. 16:10, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
