Magelang (Javanese: ꦩꦒꦼꦭꦁ) is a regency in Central Java province in Indonesia famous for its 9th century Buddhist temple of Borobudur. Its capital is Mungkid. Its motto is Magelang Gemilang (Shining Magelang).
