List of Brooklyn Nine-Nine episodes

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American police procedural comedy television series which ran for five seasons on Fox and three on NBC.[1] It was created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur. It follows a team of detectives and a police captain in the 99th Precinct of the New York City Police Department in Brooklyn.[2]

The series stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, and Chelsea Peretti.[3] Peretti departed the series in the fourth episode of the sixth season.[4] The following episode, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller, who had previously recurred, were promoted to series regulars.[5][6]

Over the course of its run, Brooklyn Nine-Nine aired 153 episodes. The series was ordered by Fox in May of 2013.[7] The first season aired on Fox from September 17, 2013 through March 25, 2014.[8][9] Before the conclusion of the first season Fox ordered a second season.[10] The season aired from September 28 through May 17, 2015.[11][12] During the course of the second season it was renewed for a third season,[13] which began airing on September 27 and ended on April 19, 2016.[14][15] In March 2016, the series was renewed for another season.[16] The fourth season began airing on September 20 and concluded on May 23, 2017.[17][18] In May 2017, the series was renewed for a fifth season.[19] The fifth season began airing on September 26 and concluded on May 20, 2018.[19]

On May 13 the Fox canceled the series; the following day, NBC picked up the series.[20][21] The sixth season began on January 10, 2019 and concluded on May 16.[22][23] NBC renewed it for a seventh season in February 2019.[24] Three months later NBC gave a ten-episode final season order.[1] The seventh season began on February 6, 2020 and ended on April 23.[25][26] The eighth and final season aired from August 12, 2021 through September 16.[27]

Season one was initially given a 14-episode order in May of 2013.[7] The series was picked up for a full season of 22 episodes in October.[35] It aired from September 17 through March 25, 2014.[8][9]

Season 6 (2019)

Season six was the first season to air on NBC following its cancellation on Fox.[20] NBC gave the season a 13 episode order, later ordering an additional five.[143] The sixth season began on January 10, 2019 and concluded on May 16.[22][23]
