The Baloch (a group of tribes speaking Balochi Language) are estimated to be about five million living in the province of Balochistān in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. However, Its believed that the original homeland of the Baloch to some extent lay on the Iranian Plateau.
The Langove (Balochi: لانگو) is a Sulemani-speaking Baloch tribe in Pakistani Balochistan, though other communities can be found in Punjab and Sindh. Most Langove speak the Sulemani dialect of the Balochi language, although some who live in proximity to Brahui tribes speak Brahui language. Three salient sub-tribal Langove identity-groups are the Meeranzai, Halizai and Shadizai.[1]

The Baloch are nomads despite having a more pronounced agricultural existence with every chief having a more permanent home. Other traditional activities carried out by the Baloch include rearing camels, cattle, sheep, and goats and most importantly, embracing carpet making and embroidery.[2]

70% of the Baloch population live in Pakistan, with an estimated 20% living in Southeastern Iran, having hash climatic conditions, rainfall and mountainous nature that sometimes result into flooding and heat for a greater part of the year for a period of up to eight months.[2]
