Personal lifeEdit

Nairn is 208 cm (6'10") tall. In March 2014, he publicly discussed his gay identity in an interview with a Game of Thrones fan site.[7] He stated: "When you talk about 'the gay community,' you are talking about MY community... I AM aware of it yeah, and I think it's really lovely. Again, it's a privilege, and I really mean that."[8] He went on to say that his sexuality is "a very small part of who I am on the whole, but nonetheless, in this day and age, it's important to stand up and be counted."[9] Although media described this interview as his coming out, Nairn insisted he had "never been in."[10]

Nairn plays the guitar and is an avid fan of Glasgow Celtic FC in Scotland.
