Inspector General of Colombia

The Inspector General of Colombia (Inspecutor General of the Nation) is in charge of ensuring compliance with the Constitution and the laws in Colombia, being defined as the director of the public ministry.

The inspector general is elected by the Senate from a list of three candidates selected by the president, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Council of State. He holds office for four years, without the possibility of re-election.[1]
