Genevieve Rose Angelson (born April 13, 1987) is an American TV actress known for playing Caitlin Hobart on House of Lies, Det. Nicole Gravely on Backstrom, and Patti Robinson on Good Girls Revolt.

In the spring of 2019, Ms. Angelson plays Ruth on PopTV’s dramedy Flack. Ruth is a 29-year-old mom and the sister of Anna Paquin’s starring role as Robyn, a London-based PR and crisis management expert who can barely keep her own life together. The full first season of Flack was released on demand on February 21, 2019.

Early lifeEdit

Angelson was born in New York City, the daughter of Lynn and lawyer and businessman Mark Angelson. Angelson has two elder sisters, Jessica and Meredith.[1] She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University and went on to graduate from the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program.[2] She also completed the Cherubs Program at Northwestern University and graduated high school from The Brearley School in Manhattan.

CareerEdit

In September 2013, Angelson was added to the cast of the Showtime series House of Lies as Caitlin Hobart.[3] In 2014, Angelson replaced Mamie Gummer to play the role of Det. Nicole Gravely in Backstrom.[4] In 2016, she starred in Amazon Video original series, Good Girls Revolt, however the series was cancelled by Amazon after one season. She also played Nina in the Tony Award for Best Play winner at the 67th Tony Awards, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.[5] in which Ben Brantley called her "exquisite."[6][7]

She co-starred in The Upside, the American remake of the French film The Intouchables.[8]
