את הפסל יצר אוסקר נימון, תוך שימוש ביציקה שנעשתה בשנת 1955 בעזרת מודל חי. 20. פסל הראש זהה לזה שמוצב בחצר החירות בספרייה ע"ש פרנקלין ד' רוזוולט, בהייד פארק בניו יורק. פסל עשוי מברונזה ורוחבו 75 ס"מ, גובהו 85 ס"מ, עומקו 47 ס"מ ומשקלו 125 ק"ג הפסל נחנך ב-4 בנובמבר 2013 בנוכחות נינו של ראש הממשלה לשעבר, רנדולף צ'רצ'יל, ח"כ יצחק הרצוג, שגריר בריטניה בישראל מר מתיו גולד, הקונסול הכללי של בריטניה בירושלים סר וינסנט פין, שגריר ישראל בבריטניה דניאל טאוב, ראש העיר ירושלים ניר ברקת, נשיא הקרן לירושלים מרק סופר ויו"ר משכנות שאננים רות חשין. |
